Purpose

My blog is designed to...

Saturday, August 9, 2008

My tech project is actually more than just learning to use Calibrated Peer Response in my classes and having other instructors at CR and hopefully elsewhere use it, it includes being able to make my blog something that I can look at without embarrassment, and some passing credibility as someone who knows something about various technologies and their use in the classroom. What this will mean to me is that I haven't spent my time (and others' time) in vain.
Success will be measured when I walk across the CR campus and one of the instructors hails me saying, "Hey, my class did really well on their CPR assignments, and they really like doing them. Thanks for letting me know about that. Now multiply that by any number, a single digit other than zero or one will do. Success will also be when my students once again successfully complete several CPR assignments because I know where to focus my and their attention. Finally, as I said above, success will be just being more knowledgeable in general about using technology in the classroom, and helping other instructors, even if it's just to find resources.
